Abstract
Density and population structure of Paracentrotus lividus (Lamarck, 1816) (Echinidae Echinodermata) were investigated on shallow rocky habitat at the Marine Protected Area Tavolara - Punta Coda Cavallo, in 2008 and 2012.
Results point out the high abundance of both, total population and commercial size sea urchins, mainly in 2012, suggesting a high recruitment rate occurred in the last years.
Results showed sustainable fishing effort and appropriate management measures.
