Abstract
Structural variables of Posidonia oceanica meadows and boat frequentation were investigated in the Site of Community Importance SCI ITB020012 ‘Berchida e Bidderosa’ (Eastern Sardinia, Italy).
All variables indicated a good state of health of the meadows. A small number of recreational boats was detected in the area during July-August, thus indicating quite small pressures of anchoring on the meadows.
Results do not suggest the need for special restrictions for the protection of the meadows than those currently regulated by law.
