Abstract
Density and population structure of Paracentrotus lividus (Lamarck, 1816) (Echinidae, Echinodermata) were investigated on shallow rocky habitat at the Marine Protected Area Tavolara Punta Coda Cavallo, in three campaigns carried out over the last 10 years.
Results point out remarkable changes in demographic structure during the years and a substantial decline of sea urchin abundance in 2018.
The possible causes of decline and management measures for resource conservation are discussed.
